To arrange surf hire, please contact us 24–48 hours in advance. We’ll advise on the best time to arrive based on tides, surf conditions, and availability.
For safety, surf hire is for those who are confident in the water and familiar with surf equipment. If you’re new to surfing, we recommend starting with a lesson.

Yes — surf hire is for those who are confident in the water and familiar with surf equipment. If you’re new to surfing, we recommend booking a lesson first.
We provide quality surfboards and 5/4mm wetsuits and boots, suitable for Irish conditions year-round.
Standard hire is 2 hours. If you’d like longer, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
We recommend booking 24–48 hours in advance to ensure availability, especially during busy periods. However we are set up 7 days a week during the summer and flexible with last minute bookings.
All surf hire is based at Carrowniskey Strand, near Louisburgh and Westport in County Mayo.
